ROLE OF ICS AS A PROMOTER OF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

 

The Indian Chest Society acting as a Promoter and facilitator for the research activities. It was emphasized that ICS should promote the multi-centric study to get representative sample of normal Spirometry data of the country. Details of the modalities and financial requirements for the research project were discussed in GB meeting. Members of the Governing Body were felt that the idea is excellent and should be undertaken by Indian Chest Society.

 

ICS ETHICAL COMMITTEE

An Ethical Committee under the chairmanship of Dr. Dhiman Ganguly was formed in 2008 and it still exists as a organ of Indian Chest Society. The Ethical Committee of ICS will be helpful to all those who are undertaking research project in the specialty of respiratory medicine.
